Centered Magazine was founded to empower male college students who are passionate about life, success, and servanthood.  We seek to inspire them, through example, with excellent standards and values to guide them along their path of success.  We believe the world can be a better place because this magazine has invested its resources and focus toward the growth and development of future world leaders—leaders who are now on college campuses everywhere.

Meet the Staff

Founder/CEO of Centered Media.  Alex founded the company in November 2008 while he was a college student at USC Upstate.  Alex also founded First In Flight Entertainment in Charlotte, NC in 2005.  Alex has worked in the music industry as a producer and a consultant.   Alex is also an active member of the community, consulting with local non-profits and helped lead a multi-ethnic church plant, Kaleidoscope.  His passions include Centered Magazine, music, art, and mentoring.

Alex is currently a student at USC Upstate and graduated from Chapman High School in 2000.  Alex resides in Spartanburg, SC.

Managing Editor at Centered Magazine, is a writer whose passion can be summed up in three words—Speak the Truth.  She loves digging in and finding out what’s relevant to her readers.  Married 28 years, with 3 sons, she knows the world is constantly changing and often finds herself on the cutting edge of that process.  As a freelance writer and editor with over 14 years experience, her byline has appeared in several national magazines and top websites, including Focus on the Family and Crosswalk.com

VP and Publisher at Centered Magazine was Born and Bred in the South, Brad’s passion for photography grew studying with Blake Praytor while attaining a Bachelor of Arts in photography and graphic design from the University of South Carolina. He honed his skills in New York and Europe, working side-by-side with some of the top fashion photographers and models in the industry enhancing his skills as a fashion photographer. Brad is known for his passion and expertise in detailed lighting as well as his ability to work with people, making them feel at ease, bringing out the best image possible. Always well dressed, he is a joy to work with on any project.

Art Director of Centered Magazine. He is from Scranton, SC.  Doug joined the company in July 2009 with a desire to use his artistic talents in many ways. He is a graduate from the S.C. Governor’s School for the Arts and from Clemson University with a B.A. of Architecture. He loves to blend his architectural background with his graphics by looking at challenges as opportunities for innovation.  His hobbies are traveling, doing art, watching movies, dancing, listening to music, meeting new people/cultures, and making music.
